I’m Tommy, based in Canada, and constantly learning in order to contribute to a more inclusive future.
I’ve always been fascinated by the internet and its quirks. My first attempt at web development was dabbling with my Tumblr blog . I even tried to add falling snowflakes to the page to give my visitors a merry feel, which was a challenge, and piqued my curiosity on how websites work under the hood.
What I love even more than computers is traveling the world. I’m passionate about immersing myself in new cultures, especially learning languages and tasting local food. There’s something magical about sharing a favourite meal with someone in their favourite restaurant and hearing their stories.
Today, not only do I build websites and web apps, but I expanded my skills with a digital marketing focus. I enjoy helping small businesses grow, especially since the pandemic accelerated the shift towards e-commerce. By helping small businesses out with digital marketing, SEO, A/B testing, and website development, I helped a local business adapt to the new digital world which seemed initially like mumbo-jumbo.
My time in web development and digital marketing crossed paths with my love for languages. I speak English, French, Vietnamese, and enough Spanish to get by. I’m constantly learning more to connect with more people and businesses, hoping to bridge cultural gaps through technology and communication.
